Recently, Charles Hoskinson, the CEO and Co-Founder of Cardano, revealed his hopes for the Cardano (ADA) while participating in a session with EMURGO, which is basically the blockchain start-up incubator.
Hoskinson expressed a desire to have two of his dreams fulfilled. Firstly, he wants to see Cardano as the crypto currency to achieve a trillion dollar market capitalization. Secondly, he looks forward to the day when ADA is widely used by ordinary people in their daily life.
In this regard, Hoskinson said
“I would love to see Cardano as the first trillion dollar cryptocurrency and the reason being is that that would effectively mean that we have built a self-sustaining economy.”
The CEO of IOHK stated that Cardano is not like Bitcoin, which investors sell on rise and exchange it for the euros and dollars. He envisions a scenario where people use Cardano to pay in restaurants.

Charles also shared details about EMURGO, which is a major part of the Cardano project aimed to create, assist and incubate commercial projects on the Cardano ecosystem. He hopes that companies would become visionaries identifying new applications and services both at smart contract and enterprise level and develop solutions for fundamental problems related to decentralization.
He further opined that if EMURGO is able to find solutions to corruption, fraud and abuse, then it would result in the creation of a ‘Me Too’ movement. Additionally, Hoskinson hopes that EMURGO identifies a way to spearhead the ecosystem by identifying path breaking ventures to invest and nourish entrepreneurs, who will set an example to others.
