Woori Bank announced the debut of a metaverse trial program based on 3D. The bank will offer kinds of services, one for contact with small company owners and a second for the learning and development of its personnel, utilizing the “Moim” metaverse system of a regional firm Grid Inc.
Between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., small firm owners can access the metaverse subsidiary via computers and mobile gadgets and interact with the agency’s director via telecommunication concerning government-subsidized lending, commercial district and geo-position study, and assistance with the development of several business strategies.
Specifically, Woori converted the 2-dimensional “Woori Metabranch,” which has been operational since December 2021, into a 3D-based system to increase the immersion and usefulness of its users. Additionally, Woori will employ the metaverse as a virtual training base. The bank stated, “Employees may get training and presentations from invited professionals in the digital world, which mitigates the disadvantages of both in-person and non – contact instruction.”
It intends to add additional lecture topics to the cyber training facility and use it as a platform to enhance the digital skills of its staff. We intend to officially announce the metaverse service in the initial half of 2023 after incorporating feedback from users, according to a Woori Bank representative, who added, “We will offer a variety of services that clients can feel via several mediums, including XR (extended reality) gadgets.”
