UAE’s Everdome Introduces SPACES: Simplifying Metaverse Access for All

In a recent development, Everdome, the Dubai-based metaverse project, has unveiled SPACES, marking the debut release of their Metaverse-as-a-Service (MaaS) product line. The objective is to enhance accessibility to the metaverse for a broader audience.

Navigating the Metaverse Landscape: Challenges and Excitement

Despite a reported 60 percent of consumers expressing enthusiasm about transitioning everyday activities to the metaverse, as indicated by a recent McKinsey report, navigating the metaverse remains a complex endeavor for many users. Approximately 95 percent of business leaders anticipate a positive impact on their industries within the next five to ten years. However, barriers to entry and comprehension persist, presenting challenges for both businesses and consumers compared to widely used web2 applications.

SPACES: Bridging Gaps in Metaverse Understanding

Everdome aims to address this challenge with its new application, SPACES, designed to deliver user-friendly, customizable, and engaging metaverse pop-up spaces that can be effortlessly created within minutes. The application targets users with varying technical expertise, enabling the rapid development of metaverse experiences that can endure for varying durations—ranging from days to hours.

Building on Success: Everdome’s Metaverse Journey

SPACES follows the recent release of Everdome’s Mars Landing experience, marking the completion of the alpha layer-one of their immersive metaverse destination. This journey takes users from a virtual Hatta Spaceport to a digital representation of a future Martian civilization. Everdome leverages the power of Unreal Engine 5 and blockchain technology, merging them to craft user-friendly metaverse templates. These templates facilitate the showcasing of images, videos, streaming, and more to invited guests, who can then interact using avatars within a three-dimensional, immersive environment.

CEO Jeremy Lopez’s Vision for Metaverse Engagement

Everdome’s CEO, Jeremy Lopez, emphasizes the infancy of the metaverse, stating, “The metaverse is really just getting started.” He underscores the need for a simple entry point for individuals to experience the distinctions between web2 and web3. SPACES, initially released in Alpha for the Everdome community of landholders, serves as a vital component of Everdome’s broader Metaverse-as-a-Service product line.

Metaverse-as-a-Service: Enabling Widespread Accessibility

Lopez envisions Metaverse-as-a-Service as an exciting arena with substantial growth potential. The focus is on providing accessible tools and products to break down barriers to entry, ensuring a seamless transition into the metaverse. Everdome plans to release easy-to-use metaverse templates and custom developments for brands and businesses gradually throughout Q3 2023 and Q1 2024. Drawing a parallel to the evolution of Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) in web2 development, Everdome anticipates that Metaverse-as-a-Service will become a standard for web3. This approach promises on-demand, cost-effective, subscription-based access to straightforward metaverse development for individuals, brands, and businesses of all sizes.
