For some time now, blockchain-powered gaming has been one of the prominent manner in which decentralized economy is expressing itself. The blockchain based platforms not only democratize access to powerful gaming technology but also provides a wonderful experience.
In this regard, Tron, a popular blockchain platform, stated that it is collaborating with Biscuit Labs to build and disburse the next version of blockchain games.
Tron will offer strategic funding to the Biscuit Labs gaming studio with the objective of expediting blockchain adoption for its popular games. The Lab’s most celebrated game, Knight Story, is one of the popular blockchain-powered games ever.
The ultimate aim is to attract as many new users as possible to the decentralized gaming ecosystem. At its peak, Knight Story generated $20,000 in daily revenue and collaboration between Tron and Biscuit Labs will start with the roll out of an updated version of the game on Tron’s blockchain.
The original version of Knight was deployed on EOS, but the additional capabilities of Tron network have encouraged the company to shift the platform. The latest version, planned for roll out in December 2019, will depend on Tron’s top performance to offer a new and advanced version of the game, which will be offered on both iOS and Android gadgets.
Of late, Tron announced its fusion with Opera, a web browser with more than 350 millionusers. Their collaboration straightaway fuses Tron’s wallet within the Opera browser while making the platform’s DApp ecosystem available to Opera users.
As a result, when Knight Story gets deployed on Tron, several hundreds of millions of potential new users will be able to access it.
Biscuit CEO, Jay Lee, believes that there is potential for continued growth, saying:
“We are very excited to partner with TRON and we’re eager to see Knight Story thrive on the TRON network. This collaboration will help us to realize Biscuit’s mission and continue to innovate games using blockchain technology.”
To back its objective of promoting blockchain adoption, Tron aims to campaign for the recent version of Knight Story via its other popular ventures such as BitTorrent and Opera.
As Tron is competing with other blockchains such as EOS and Ethereum in terms of capability and popularity, decentralized gaming can be a key attraction.
Earlier last week, Justin Sun, CEO of TRON & BitTorrent, highlighted the mutual benefit by saying:
“There has never been a decentralized game of this scale before. Biscuit’s successful rollout of blockchain gaming for mainstream audiences marks a turning point for the space. I want to thank Biscuit for their hard work and passion for blockchain. Together, we will create a blockchain for everyone.”
The objective of developing a blockchain for all individuals involves several dynamics, but blockchain powered gaming is all set to be a major move. Tron’s backing of Biscuit will unquestionably place the enterprise to leverage on its historical success while assisting in creating the gaming environment in the time ahead.
