The software is one of the latest public/private blockchains presently backed by a key cloud provider, Microsoft Azure.
As per Lition, embedding its blockchain solution will enable Salesforce to capitalize data decentralization to transform its CRM architecture further safer in the years ahead. The company detailed:
“Building a dependency upon data that is completely centralized creates operational risks. Extracting that data is not always guaranteed. A GDPR compliant blockchain is a great way to decentralize some of that dependency.”
The technology of Lition will be offered through an app on Salesforce’s cloud platform.
The app will facilitate over 150,000 Salesforce users, from small companies to Fortune 500 enterprises to simply document, endorse and safeguard crucial info in a classified manner. Lition marketing manager Benni Woerpel said
“Lition’s blockchain is quite unique in this context because it will provide a privacy-law compliant layer where forms can take advantage from the decentralized characteristics of blockchains.”
Salesforce, established in1999, has been adopting path breaking technologies such as cloud, IoT (internet of things), blockchain and AI (artificial intelligence) to assist enterprises in interacting better with their clients.
