Web3bridge is the foremost initiative built by Africans for Africans to teach blockchain developers. Since its launch in 2019, Web3bridge has been on a mission to uncover Web3 interests, train people in a remote setting that is collaborative and supportive, and create an African Web3 community. And over the course of the years, we have carried out our learning series known as “COHORT,” which has progressed from edition 1 all the way up to edition 7. During that time, more than two thousand people have been trained for free on Web2 and Web3 Blockchain development at our learning facility in Lagos, where they also have access to free lodging, food, and internet.
This is an effort that began as “500 Nigerian Developers for Ethereum,” but it has now expanded into an organization that has helped to the growth and development of developers from throughout Africa who are now participating internationally to various blockchain projects as programmers, developer relations specialists, and developer advocates. This action has also brought the educational and prolonged learning series available on Web3 to the attention of at least 10,000 people residing in Africa.
Polygon’s goal is centered upon Ethereum, a platform that hosts a wide variety of decentralized applications, including virtual worlds, gaming, art, and financial services.
Participants in Web3bridge’s program have the choice of attending electronically or onsite at the learning center in Lagos. The program is intended to build product-market fit developers utilizing a broad variety of measures, including mentors that are working on excellent projects, weekly evaluations, revisions, social bonding, seminars, career and personality profile sessions, and evictions to guarantee rigorous adherence to instructions and learning by participants.
The continued commitment of Polygon to the expansion of the developer ecosystem worldwide, and particularly in Africa, is shown by the company’s support of this particular cohort.
