NodeKit, a leading figure in blockchain solutions, has unveiled a strategic collaboration with NEAR Protocol to introduce NEAR’s Data Availability (DA) solutions into its composability layer. The primary goal of this partnership is to boost the interoperability and efficacy of rollups and specialized blockchain networks by streamlining synchronous cross-chain communication.
The alliance between NodeKit and NEAR Protocol empowers developers to construct rollups on the composability layer and seamlessly integrate NEAR DA into their frameworks. This integration extends the capabilities of rollups, granting them the flexibility to select all components of their technology stack while retaining their independence and self-governance.
NEAR DA harnesses Nightshade, a cutting-edge component of NEAR’s consensus mechanism, to enhance network performance. Nightshade enhances efficiency by distributing operations across multiple shards, each responsible for processing a segment of a block. These shards are subsequently aggregated to form a complete block, streamlining the process for chains experiencing high transaction volumes. This sharding approach not only accelerates transaction processing but also offers a cost-efficient solution for ensuring data availability.
NEAR DA heads to @nodekitorg, offering rollup developers the opportunity to unlock data availability that is incredibly fast, cost-efficient, and powered by NEAR.
