TVM, a South Korean metaverse firm, has revealed that it has began producing LaLiga Metaverse La E On(LEON) Tokens, which will act as the platform’s main currency and incentive system. The construction of the formal LaLiga metaverse platform is proceeding well in preparation for its introduction in the first half of 2019.
TVM is among LaLiga’s +10 international official associates and owns the phrase “Official Metaverse of LaLiga” exclusively. LaLiga is the first among the world’s five major football teams to enter the metaverse, and it has partnered with a Korean company, TVM, to establish the LaLiga Metaverse La E On Token.
LaLiga and TVM indicated in a May press release their intention to utilise state-of-the-art technologies such as virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), and extended reality (XR) to enhance interactivity and community engagement with LaLiga’s worldwide fan following. The ambitious target of “Creating the Best Digital Football World for Fans” is contingent on a vast array of thrilling “fun” components, belongings, and fan involvement, including fans’ individual media broadcasting, interesting games, a contest for predicting match outcomes, fan societies, and social media attributes.
The La E On(LEON) tokens will be used as a method of purchase for a wide range of things within the Metaverse, as a fan voting mechanism, a player or team sponsorship instrument, a streamer promotion tool, a donation tool, and a rival game token between club fans.
Leo Choi, Blockchain Director of TVM, said, “A number of fan programs and festivals, including NFT and P2E (Play to Earn) Rewards, will take LaLiga Metaverse La E On (LEON) Tokens as pay. We predict that when the platform is released, tens of millions of holders, comprising LaLiga fans and Metaverse users from all over the world, will hurry to join. LaLiga fans will use these La E On(LEON) Tokens on the website; consequently, we must ensure that everything is safe and functional.
LaLiga said, “The LaLiga Metaverse will give a platform for our worldwide fan base to engage in an even more realistic setting, as well as exposure to visual data such as club stadia, their cities, and notable landmarks.” We are thrilled to present LaLiga fans with the greatest in comfort and enjoyment, along with a variety of intriguing content.”
Sisley L., CEO of TVM, stated, “If the unlimited potential of VR, AR, XR, and blockchain technologies are combined with LaLiga Metaverse, it will be capable of providing fans with a vast array of activities and amusement.” She stated, “We are aware that domestic entertainment companies with a large number of global Korean Wave fans (for K-Pop and movies, etc.) are constructing entertainment-kind of metaverses in conjunction to TVM. Similar to TVM, this may assist Korea in becoming the epicentre of the upcoming metaverse era. Consequently, we expect increasing government intervention.”
The economic effect of the metaverse would reach $476,4 billion in 2025 and $1.5 trillion in 2030, as per a new research. After the devastation caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, important U.S. technology companies started to make large investments in the metaverse. As the opening of the LaLiga Metaverse nears, all business sights will be on the digital headquarters of the enormous Spanish football league.
