Google has started providing crypto price updates on finance.google.com, which is a webpage focused on financial markets. The category named ‘crypto’ has been included in the “Compare Markets” division along with traditional stock and Forex markets.

The section offers major crucial pricing data for several cryptos namely Bitcoin (BTC), Litecoin (LTC), Ether (ETH) and Bitcoin Cash (BCH).

Alphabet, holding company of Google, also runs video-sharing platform YouTube, which frequently troubles crypto enthusiasts by unexplained banning of academic and news content, without any notification.

Even CoinDesk and Cointelegraph, the top two outlets in the crypto news domain, have faced inexplicable debarment and even elaborate clarifications from the crypto news channels were overturned. Notably, both crypto outlets have affirmed that they did no breach YouTube’s terms of service.

The crypto market has lured mainstream focus last year, as institutions and enterprises began investing in the distinct asset class. With their entry, the crypto market cap easily surpassed $1 trillion market cap in January.

The crypto market cap hit a peak of $1.75 trillion last month before recording a retracement. At prevailing values, the numero uno crypto is valued at more than $1.40 trillion.

Both institutional interest and retail adoption has been rising at a fast pace in the past three months. With top enterprises such as Mastercard and Tesla adopting cryptos, the desideratum for transparent rules is increasing, as per Hester Peirce, Commissioner of the United States Securities and Exchange.

Demand for transparent law on cryptocurrencies will probably intensify as the rally takes the market to newer heights. Notably, Peirce believes that the new White House administration, under Biden, can offer a new look at the regulatory feature.
