French Insurer AXA Enters Metaverse

With the launch of «Axadia» in the Metaverse, AXA France becomes the initial insurer and bank to enter the virtual world. Visitors can perform an AXA NFT inquiry. As stated in a recent press release, insurer AXA France has debuted its «Axadia» meta-gaming adventure in The Sandbox metaverse, enabling the public at large to uncover the company’s objectives, ideals, employment, and social obligations (in French).

As per the biggest insurer in France, the encounter is unprecedented in the insurance and finance industries. AXA has joined other companies in joining the Metaverse, which is expected to become a $5 trillion market by the end of 2030. The encounter is accessible at https://axadia.fr until March 1st. The Metaverse received its initial Swiss bank branch in September 2022, when Sygnum Bank revealed it would establish a branch on New York’s virtual Times Square, greeting guests with a “crypto punk.”

In order to lure software engineers, private bank Julius Baer plunged its claws into the Metaverse last year, presenting a contest on the Roblox portal where applicants could undertake the “Be Baer Challenge.”

Visitors to Axadia’s portion of The Sandbox’s metaverse can explore multiple floors, including a recruitment space where players face challenges of endurance and bravery. Those who are more motivated to partner than compete can explore the innovation area, while the rooftop expedition showcases AXA’s societal and environmental obligations. The encounter also includes a museum where guests can learn about the company’s history.

In homage to the objective of insurers, there’s also a concealed level at the conclusion where fortunate explorers can obtain an AXA non-fungible token (NFT) in the shape of armor. At the conclusion of the Sandbox qualifying campaign, 25 individuals will be picked at random to retain their NFT AXA Shield.

There is a further reward for participation. If 10,000 contestants finish the Axadia adventure by March 1, the AXA Hearts in Action association will grant 10,000 euros to the Emmaues Connect organization, which seeks to prevent the digital and social isolation of the most disadvantaged people.
