Expanding ZK Technologies: Polyhedra Network Partners with Google Cloud

polyhedra google cloud partnership

Polyhedra Network, the brains behind the zero-knowledge (ZK) interoperability solution zkBridge, has joined forces with Google Cloud to propel the adoption of ZK technologies across both Web3 and Web2 domains.

Empowering Developers with Proof Cloud

As revealed in a press release by the Polyhedra team, Google Cloud’s collaboration aims to extend the reach of Polyhedra’s Proof Cloud, a cloud-based service designed to enable developers to harness zero-knowledge (zk) proofs at scale. Through this partnership, Polyhedra users will benefit from Google Cloud’s optimized infrastructure, resulting in enhanced performance and reliability.

Enhancing ZK-as-a-Service Space

The alliance between Polyhedra and Google Cloud is poised to elevate the ZK-as-a-service space. By leveraging Google Cloud’s robust infrastructure, including services like Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), Hyperdisk, Vertex AI, and Blockchain Node Engine (BNE), Polyhedra aims to deliver substantial improvements in its zero-knowledge products, making them more accessible and impactful for developers.

Expanding Presence in Web3

Eric Vreeland, the Chief Strategy Officer at Polyhedra Network, emphasized that integrating with Google Cloud represents a significant stride towards democratizing zero-knowledge proof services. Vreeland highlighted the transformative potential of zero-knowledge proofs in addressing contemporary challenges related to data validity and scalable computation, underlining the collaborative effort’s role in expanding Polyhedra’s footprint in the Web3 landscape.

Google Cloud’s Commitment to Web3 Growth

Rishi Ramchandani, Google Cloud’s Head of APAC Web3, reiterated the company’s commitment to fostering growth within the Web3 ecosystem. Ramchandani emphasized Google Cloud’s dedication to providing developers with secure and scalable technology to drive innovation in building new applications.

Google Cloud’s Increasing Engagement in Blockchain

Google Cloud’s collaboration with Polyhedra follows its recent endeavors within the blockchain ecosystem, including joining Flare Network as an infrastructure provider and validator. This strategic partnership underscores Google Cloud’s growing involvement in supporting blockchain-based projects and technologies.

Significant Funding Round and Key Investors

Polyhedra’s partnership with Google Cloud follows a successful $20 million funding round, led by venture capital firm Polychain Capital. Notable investors in the funding round include Animoca Brands, Hashkey Capital, Emirates Consortium, Mapleblock Capital, UoB Ventures, and Longhash Ventures, among others, reflecting confidence in Polyhedra’s vision and potential.

Expansion of zkBridge and Integration with Bitget

Polyhedra’s growth trajectory is evidenced by the increasing adoption of its interoperability solution, zkBridge, which has expanded connectivity to over 25 blockchains. Crypto exchange Bitget recently added Polyhedra Network as its 64th Launchpool project, further amplifying Polyhedra’s presence and influence in the blockchain space.
