The news was revealed by Tribe Accelerator, which stated that knowledge and subject specialization in respective sectors will be shared by the three companies with startups that are powered by Tribe. This is expected to assist in building an “inclusive” ecosystem that is “ready for industry 4.0.”
BMW Group Asia, for example, will offer “masterclasses” and training classes on how blockchain tools can be deployed in a commercial scenario. Carsten Sapia, vice president – group IT and head of the Asia Pacific region, BMW Group Asia, said “We hope we can help each of these startups develop their proof-of-concepts and reach the next stage of their development.”
Intel Corporation, on its part, will offer business and technical training to startups. Intel’s blockchain program director Michael Reed, said “Intel technologies like Intel Xeon Scalable processors and Intel SGX can help improve privacy, security, and scalability of blockchain solutions.”
On its part, Nielsen will offer “a sandbox with the objective of providing participants with a safe, controlled environment to test new technologies and accelerate the adoption of their solutions.”
Ryan Chew, managing partner of Tribe Accelerator, said:
“To move forward as a society, we need to encourage experimentation, and once the benefits of blockchain technology become evident, mainstream adoption will undoubtedly follow.”
Last month, Tribe also collaborated with ConsenSys, a firm focused on ethereum innovation, to improve Singapore’s blockchain ecosystem.
Last December, venture capital firm TRIVE Ventures established Tribe Accelerator in collaboration with PwC Singapore’s Venture Hub and South Korea’s ICON Foundation. The accelerator is backed by Enterprise Singapore, a government organization established to promote the startup ecosystem.
