Bayer’s Agricultural Division Collaborates With BlockApps, a ConsenSys-Backed Startup

The pharmaceutical and genetic engineering company Bayer AG’s agricultural division, Bayer CropScience, is working with ConsenSys-aided Blockchain-as-a-Service (BaaS) firm BlockApps.

In June 2018, Bayer acquired American agrochemical and agricultural corporation Monsanto, one of the biggest pharma firms in the world.

A spokesperson from BlockApps said more specifics can be anticipated during the Food and Beverage Supply Chain Blockchain seminar due to begin in San Francisco on March 26–27. The BlockApps platform intends to offer configurable business networks with an interoperable platform.

Blockapps Strato was founded in 2015 to construct Ethereum (ETH) BaaaS on Azure for corporate clients and publishers through collaboration between ConsenSys and the Microsoft Azure cloud platform.

BlockApps is a founding member of the world’s biggest open-source blockchain initiative, the Enterprise Ethereum Alliance (EEA). By July 2017, over150 blockchain firms, research institutions, and Fortune 500 firms such as JPMorgan and Cisco became members of the EEA. BlockApps is proud to become the first blockchain company to collaborate with Azure, Amazon Web Services, and Google Cloud Platform on all key cloud platforms.
