With the initial iteration of “bridges” and interoperability networks, the Axelar network already links key blockchain networks, mitigating extensive security concerns. Axelar announces the forthcoming stage of its safe interchain framework today at Ethereum Denver’s BUIDLWeek.
Axelar Virtual Machine will enable builders to create decentralized applications (dApps) once – on EVM, Cairo VM, or some other system – and launch them on all networks. It is a customizable interoperability overlay that facilitates sophisticated multi-chain rollout and administration, allowing programmers to construct across the entirety of Web3 as if on a sole chain.
Forward compatibility is also a characteristic of true multi-chain functionality. Upcoming technologies include ZK proofs and interchain light customers. After these innovations materialize, coders who interface to Axelar Virtual Machine will be capable of implementing them.
Starknet, zkSync, Celestia, Centrifuge, Coinbase Base, MobileCoin, NEAR, and Shardeum, as well as other collaborators, are already partnering and preparing what coders can create via Axelar Virtual Machine incorporation. The initial two developer-facing products to launch are:
Interchain Amplifier: A straightforward, permission-free method of connecting a unique chain to the Axelar network and all of its linked chains.
Similar to Kubernetes for Web3, Interchain Maestro allows programmers to coordinate multi-chain installations for decentralized applications.
