Apple has revealed that it will focus on developer tools related to cryptography tomorrow at WWDC 2019 (Worldwide Developers Conference), which began at San Jose McEnery Convention Center, San Jose, California on June 3 and ends on June 7.

Tomorrow, at the WWDC event, Apple aims to introduce a new tool named “CryptoKit,” which will be offered as an update to iOS 13. CryptoKit will concentrate mainly on programmers, enabling them to develop additional security functions for apps with improved support.

The program description reads “System frameworks encrypt both data at rest and data in transit in a transparent way for you. This functionality is available by simply setting an attribute. However you may want to do more to protect your users’ data.”

It further reads “CryptoKit is a new Swift framework that makes it easier and safer than ever to perform cryptographic operations, whether you simply need to compute a hash or are implementing a more advanced authentication protocol.”

The WWDC event has begun at a time when social media platform users constantly look out for signals from Apple that conveys its interest in cryptocurrency sector. The inclusion of Bitcoin (BTC) logo even in small initiatives, such as in-app SF symbols compatible with Apple’s San Francisco font, did garner crypto enthusiasts attraction.

In May, Spend, a cryptocurrency wallet, integrated Apple Pay feature, permitting users to finance contactless payments of about 20 cryptocurrencies via mobile. Notably, Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak established a tailor-made blockchain VC fund in 2018.
