Twitch, a popular streaming game platform owned by Amazon, has started accepting Bitcoin (BTC) and Bitcoin Cash (BCH) payments once again.
In March, Twitch stopped providing option of making subscription payments in Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash without any kind of notice by removing Bitpay link. The link is back in place presently, implying that the platform will start accepting cryptocurrency payments.
In the subscription payment page of Twitch, Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash is listed under less common payment methods for subscription.
Notably, the reintroduction of crypto payment facility was neither informed through blog or press release.
Even San Francisco-based payments firm Square has facilitated Bitcoin deposits on its popular Cash App platform.
Bitcoin, which traded between $3,000 and $4,000 during the first few months of the year, turned bullish in the past month and hit a high of $13,981 this week.
Notably, even today, BitMEX, one of the world’s largest cryptocurrency trading platform has seen record trading volumes.
