As per a release, the six-week “Economics of Blockchain and Digital Assets” course will be offered by the Ivy League business school for “business and technology professionals looking to learn about blockchain and digital assets via its value-driving principle: economics.”
Wharton, which is situated in Philadelphia, claims to be the foremost Ivy League university and the first US business school to take cryptocurrencies as payment from program participants.
“We created this curriculum for business professionals and executives from a variety of backgrounds, including conventional finance, management, and technology,” said Kevin Werbach, a Wharton professor and blockchain author who serves as the program’s academic director.
The certificate program will be offered in collaboration with blockchain consulting company Prysm Group, which is based in Philadelphia.
