Bitcoin was developed in 2009 by an unknown individual going by the pseudonym Satoshi Nakamoto, whose background is still a riddle to this day. Recently, Tesla CEO Elon Musk claimed software engineer Nick Szabo as the mysterious developer, suggesting that he was the mastermind behind the creation of numero uno cryptocurrency bitcoin. Musk gave the remark while being interviewed on Lex Fridman’s show.
People frequently believe Elon to be the creator of Bitcoin, a theory that Musk has already refuted. Musk also admitted that he is frequently mistaken for the inventor of Bitcoin. While admitting that he “clearly” was not aware of Nakamoto’s true identity, Musk opined that Szabo satisfies “all the boxes” that suggest he may be the mysterious creator of the Bitcoin cryptocurrency. Szabo has advocated the construction of digital money as far back as 1998.
Tesla CEO Elon Musk says that Szabo “appears to be the one who is more accountable for the concepts underpinning Bitcoin than anybody else. Take a glance at the progression of ideas leading up to the introduction of Bitcoin, and then see who blogged about those concepts,” Musk said. Szabo’s proposal was never finished, although many consider it to be a forerunner of the Bitcoin cryptocurrency.
Earlier, the scientist has denied that he is the developer of the cryptocurrency Bitcoin. Nakamoto’s real identity has been the subject of conspiracy theories for many years. Back in October, PayPal co-founder Peter Thiel stated that he may have unintentionally encountered Satoshi Nakamoto in 2000 while on a business trip.
According to Thiel, approximately 21 years back, a team of approximately 200 individuals came together with the goal of promoting a novel currency system capable of beating the stranglehold of central banks. Nakamoto, according to the millionaire, might have been a member of that gang. The initial and only statue of Satoshi Nakamoto, was erected in Budapest in September 2021.
Despite the fact that the face characteristics of this bronze sculpture are not well delineated, the figure is dressed in a hooded sweatshirt. In 2011, the mystery Bitcoin creator announced his departure from the cryptocurrency field, claiming that he had “gone on to new things.” As of right now, the Bitcoins in Nakamoto’s wallet, which total more than $66 billion, have not been spent.
