Gryphon Digital Mining today revealed that the initial batch of 7,200 S19J Pro Antminers has been set up and has started mining bitcoin. Gryphon Digital Mining has signed a deal and Plan of Merger with Sphere 3D (Nasdaq: ANY), under which Gryphon shareholders will become Sphere 3D shareholders and the merged entity will remain listed on Nasdaq. The merger is due to be finished in the fourth quarter of 21.
The company will keep receiving 600-machine parcels every month until the total delivery of 7,200 machines is completed. Notably, the order is expected to offer Gryphon with roughly 720 PH/s of hashing power, placing it among the top 15 global miners. This group of high-efficiency miners will be a portion one of the few cryptocurrency mining operations that will be powered entirely by sustainable power.
