The Tron Foundation has announced the release of the Tron Wallet on the Google Play Store, making the wallet application ready for download by Android users before Apple community. The launch of the application was tweeted by Tron Foundation earlier today. The app for iOS is expected to made available soon.
Tron Foundation developed the wallet in partnership with Getty/IO, a software enterprise. The South America’s largest near shore front-end developer specializes in AWS, blockchain technology and JavaScript.
The Tron Foundation has opined that the wallet will enable performing transactions in a faster and better manner, unleashing the full potential of the Tron blockchain network.
The users will be able to use the wallet to vote during the time of Super Representative elections. Furthermore, the wallet will be a part of the Tron token sales, facilitating seamless transactions.
Tron Android Wallet Features
Tron has also listed the most important features offered by the wallet.
- Zero fees — Tron Foundation has assured that users will not have to pay any transaction charges while sending or receiving TRX.
- Decentralized p2p wallet — The Foundation has stated that the wallet will be a fully decentralized peer to peer application, avoiding a need to sign up or login. The wallet will use encryption based on AES-256+ SHA2 standard by transmitting a 64-byte encryption key.
- All TRON network operations, except that of creating a token, will be supported.
- Push notifications — alert messages notifying the completion of transactions.
- Easy to use — extremely simple to use the lightning fast application.
It has taken four months for Gett/IO Inc, to develop the app. The Tron Foundation backed the project with $200,000 funding.
