EOS introduces an innovative feature, Transferable RAM, aimed at enabling users to transfer RAM between accounts seamlessly and without incurring fees. This groundbreaking advancement aims to streamline RAM management, empowering users to efficiently allocate and reallocate resources according to their requirements.
According to EOS Network Foundation, the introduction of Transferable RAM marks a pivotal moment to explore the blockchain’s enhanced capabilities. Technical enhancements in RAM management are made accessible through the RAM Utilities App, offering essential functions such as buying RAM for any account, selling RAM to reclaim EOS, transferring RAM to other accounts, and burning RAM to remove it from circulation.
The latest addition of RAM Logging & Notifications integrates inline actions, providing precise confirmation of bytes sent or received in RAM transactions. This feature ensures that both payers and receivers have a clear understanding of transaction specifics, empowering smart contracts to utilize these notifications for more sophisticated contract interactions based on actual RAM usage metrics, rather than just the EOS amount spent.
