An online poll organized by StormX (STMX), a cryptocurrency rebate platform, concluded four days ago. Voters have had the option of selecting a different cryptocurrency to get rebates in while using StormX to make purchases. Dogecoin (DOGE) easily triumphed, with over half of all votes (7,700) selecting it. To the delight of Dogecoin creator Billy Marcus, CEO Simon Yu personally confirmed the outcome of the vote. To his credit, Marcus had a positive reaction to this development.
Considering that StormX has partnered with over 1,500 retailers in 180 countries and top marketplaces including eBay and AliExpress, the ability to earn DOGE as a cashback while completing transactions is a fantastic boost to the coin’s usage. Cardano’s ADA token had a solid chance of being chosen, but ultimately lost by over 3,000 votes to DOGE. Nonetheless, StormX saw ADA’s appeal and speculated on ADA’s nomination in the subsequent poll.
The recent competition between Dogecoin and Cardano has even found its way into the StormX poll. This suits the present mood around Cardano quite well. Remember that last week, Mark Cuban, millionaire, and popular pro-crypto businessman, remarked that Dogecoin had more practical uses than Cardano, as reported by U.Today. Cardano, as a smart contracts platform, could currently be superior to Dogecoin. The future, according to the Dallas Mavericks owner, lies with DOGE if the latter chooses to transform into an application platform.
Furthermore, the billionaire stated that he does not think Cardano’s African mission can give it a strategic advantage due to the fact that there are currently very few individuals in Africa actively engaged in blockchain activities.
